Labor Day Weekend is right around the corner, and as usual Old Town Scottsdale is the place to be. Whether you’re looking to celebrate the end of a long, hot summer with a pool party, or you want to dance your heart out at a night show, we have plenty of options to keep you busy all weekend long.

Friday, September 2 :: Gareth Emery at Māyā Day + Nightclub :: 9 PM


We’re starting out the weekend at Māyā with trance legend, Gareth Emery, who has been releasing dance music for nearly 15 years. As a teenager, Emery performed in an indie band and by his early 20s he found his way to dance music. He released his first hit “Mistral,” under the GTR moniker in 2002. Since then he has released several successful albums including Northern Lights and Drive. His most recent album, “100 Reasons to Live,” reached the No. 2 spot on the Billboard Top Dance/ Electronic Albums chart.

Saturday, September 3 :: Odesza (DJ SET) at Māyā Day + Nightclub :: 12 PM


Grammy-nominated duo, Odesza, will be continuing the festivities at the day club. Enjoy drinks, sunshine and the enchanting sounds of For Odesza is an electronic music duo, formed by Harrison Mills, known individually as CatacombKid, and Clayton Knight, known as BeachesBeaches. In 2012, they released their first album “Summer’s Gone,” which included the popular tracks “How Did I Get Here” and “iPlayYouListen.” The next year, they released their EP “My Friends Never Die” and in 2014 they released their sophomore album, “In Return.” The album reached the top spot on the Billboard Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart and featured the hits “Say My Name” and “It’s Only.” Earlier this year, RAC’s remix of “Say My Name,” was nominated for a Grammy for Best Remixed Recording.

Saturday and Sunday, September 3-4 :: Infini on Camelback and W Scottsdale Present Labor Day Weekend at W Scottsdale feat. Shaun Frank :: 12 PM

There’s nothing better than a pool party for Labor Day Weekend and Infiniti on Camelback is bringing you the coolest pool party in Scottsdale all summer. Every Saturday and Sunday on the W Scottsdale WET Deck, attendees can enjoy music featuring favorite local DJs and exclusive giveaways including a grand prize trip to the iHeartRadio Summer Pool Party. This Sunday, will be extra special with a performance by Shaun Frank, a Canadian house DJ and producer. Since the start of his career in 2013, he has produced remixes for Kiesza, Steve Aoki, Duke Dumont and more. In addition to his remix, he has released several original tracks, including two with Delaney Jane, “This Could Be Love,” and “Shades of Grey,” both of which have millions of plays on Soundcloud. Earlier this year, Shaun Frank collaborated with DVBBS on the song, “La La Land.”

Sunday, September 4 :: MSTRKRFT at Livewire :: 9 PM


We’re ending the weekend with a MSTRKRFT at Livewire. MSTRKRFT is a Canadian electronic music duo formed by Jesse Keeler and Alex Puodziukas in the mid-2000s. They released their debut album, “The Looks” in 2006. Their sophomore album, Fist of God, reached the No. 12 spot on the Top Dance/ Electronic Albums chart in 2009. One of their hit songs from the album, “Heartbreaker,” featured John Legend and charted in Australia and the United Kingdom. Another song from the album,“Bounce,” featuring N.O.R.E. reached the No. 14 spot on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart. They released their latest album, “OPERATOR” in July.
