With March on its way out, the Steve LeVine Entertainment and Public Relations team is refelcting on all of the incredible events we’ve gotten to be a part of this month. See below for a recap of some of our March 2017 highlights.
Scottsdale Fashion Week: March 2nd-5th
One of the most highly-anticipated events of the year in Scottsdale, Scottsdale Fashion Week presented by Purely Sedona, was a huge hit once again. This year’s events brought world-class designers to the Valley to show off their latest and greatest looks in gorgeous runway displays. Opening Night kicked off with a runway show in the showroom of Mercedes-Benz of Scottsdale with looks presented by decorated British designer, Zandra Rhodes. Zandra is hailed the “Princess of Punk” in the fashion community, known for her bold prints, dramatic use of color and ambitious designs. Her work has appeared in top fashion magazines around the world, including Vogue, Women’s Wear Daily and Harper’s Bazaar. We loved seeing her breathtaking designs on the runway right here in Scottsdale!
SFW brunch followed the morning after, inviting guests to engage in a Q&A discussion with fashion’s elite, including the iconic Zandra Rhodes, renowned metal apparel designer, Laurel DeWitt and celebrity makeup artist Michael Franco over brunch and mimosas.
Directly after the star-studded brunch, the complementary event, Splash into Beauty took place at the W Scottsdale WET Pool Deck, where guests were invited to engage in conversation with beauty experts and take home free gifts.
The Fashion-A-Ball Runway Showcase took place Friday night on W Scottsdale’s WET Pool Deck, complete with a “W” shaped runway crossing over an enormous swimming pool. The Ford/Robert Black Agency models looked gorgeous walking the runway in looks by featured designers, Amy Inc., GoldSheep Clothing, Macy’s, Russ Ortiz, SIX:02, Versakini and Yandy.
On Saturday night, the Metal + Mirrors Showcase took place in the heart of Scottsdale’s entertainment district at Livewire. The showcase featured a stunning shoe exhibition by local designer, Becki Coakley and riveting runway shows by world class designers, Laurel DeWitt and George Styler. Laurel DeWitt has designed clothing for several A-list celebrities including Beyonce, Lady Gaga, will.i.am and more.
The Hair Wars showcase concluded the weekend on Sunday with an up close and personal look at local salon artists’ most inventive and ambitious hairstyles.

The 33rd annual My Nana’s Salsa Challenge, the largest annual fundraiser for the Arizona Hemophilia Association, was another great success. The event featured salsa competitions, great live music, margaritas, family-friendly activities and more. The ever popular Margarita Mix-Off returned for another year of tequila shots and charitable donations. No, you didn’t misread that last sentence.
