Who doesn’t love New Year’s Eve? There’s something incredibly satisfying about closing out your year with an insane party (or a few!) in hopes that the upcoming year will be even better than the last. No matter what kind of celebration you’re looking for this year – we have a couple options that will help make this your best New Year’s yet.
Friday, December 30: Why limit the party to one day when you can get the festivities started early? We plan to begin our ending to 2016 on Friday with Markus Schulz at Māyā Day + Nightclub. The former Arizona resident and Māyā veteran delivers an unforgettable performance every time he’s in town, and we know this won’t be any different. Over the course of his two decade long career he has won multiple awards including the International Dance Music Awards (IDMA) “Best American DJ” in 2008. He was also America’s No. 1 DJ by the DJ Times in 2012 and has landed on DJ Mag’s list of Top 100 DJ’s four times. Schulz released the album “Scream,” in 2012 which became one of the top selling trance albums on both iTunes and Beatport. His most recent album, “Watch The World,” was released earlier this year and reached the No. 4 spot on the Billboard Top Dance/ Electronic Albums chart. Get your tickets now at SLEtickets.com.
Saturday, December 31: Every year W Scottsdale puts on the most spectacular, over-the-top New Year’s Eve party in town, and they’re taking it to the next level this year with Shimmer. The extravagant event will transport guests into a wonderland of lustre and lights while they enjoy a night of music and festivities. Revelers will be greeted by a towering champagne bottle as they make their way through the elegant entryway draped in crystals. Inside, the festivities will continue in The Living Room with live music, shimmering chandeliers and specialty cocktails. At midnight, attendees will welcome 2017 with an impressive firework display from the hotel’s rooftop. Tickets start at $50 and are on sale now at WScottsdaletickets.com.
Saturday, December 31: For a New Year’s Eve you won’t forget any time soon, head over to Livewire to enjoy a performance by glam rock parody group, Steel Panther, which is known for its humorous lyrics and engaging, crowd-pleasing shows. Steel Panther has released four albums, three of which made appearances on the Billboard 200 chart. The same three, Feel The Steel, Balls Out and All You Can Eat, reached the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Comedy Albums chart. Their most recent album, All You Can Eat, was released in 2014 and featured cameos from celebrities such as Ron Jeremy, Steve-O and more. Tickets are on sale now at LivewireAZ.com.
