The Chandler Chamber Ostrich Festival drew over 85,000 attendees in 2016, SLE’s first year producing the event, and in 2017 we look forward to an even more impressive event. The award winning, three-day festival features everything from live music by national recording artists to carnival rides and live ostriches.

Last year’s event featured performances by Parmalee, The English Beat, Ozomatli and more, as well as a meet and greet with Disney star, Skai Jackson and Batman and Superman.

OstrichFestival2016-47There were also engaging attractions like FAME racing, which allowed participants to race remote control cars, and Moto Maniacs, a thrilling live performance filled with incredible motorcycle stunts and acrobatic displays. Festival-goers also enjoyed spectacular food, upscale arts  and crafts and much more.

The festival began in 1989 based on Chandler’s colorful early history of ostrich ranching. The event has grown to become one of the premier festivals in the southwest.

The festivities will kick off prior to the 3-day festival with the annual Mayor’s Fun Run and Ostrich Festival Parade on Saturday, March 4. Starting at Ray Road and Arizona Avenue, the procession of floats, dignitaries, pageant winners, classic cars, bands, horses, dance teams and over 100 other entries will make their way south to Chicago Street.
