Everybody has been buzzing about the Grammy Awards that took place this past weekend. Adele was the night’s biggest winner, taking home five new golden trophies to add to her already extensive collection. The power vocalist made headlines for numerous reasons during Sunday night’s award ceremony, most notably, when she took the stage to sing a rendition of pop icon George Michael’s hit “Fastlove” in tribute to the late performer’s prosperous career. The songstress stopped during the performance and asked to begin again. She later told reporters that she restarted the song because she couldn’t hear herself singing. After beginning again, her performance went off without a hitch and was met with a standing ovation at its emotional conclusion.

Beyonce Dazzles in Gold at Grammy Awards

Beyonce, or Queen Bey as she is popularly known, also had a big night last Sunday. She wowed the audience when she appeared on stage dressed like a goddess in a glistening gold outfit and matching headdress as she performed “Love Drought” and “Sandcastles.” Social media blew up during her performance, calling it a celebration of motherhood. Earlier this month, Beyonce announced that she is pregnant with twins with what now is the most liked photo on Instagram. Her Grammys ensemble showed off her baby bump and glamorized pregnancy. Though Beyonce lost Album of the Year to Adele (who tearfully claimed that Bey deserved it more than she did during her emotional acceptance speech), she still came away with two Grammy awards for best music video for “Formation” and best urban contemporary album for “Lemonade.”

Most people would assume that music royalty such as Ed Sheeran have a special place on every Hollywood guest list. However, Ed claimed that he was denied entrance to his own record label’s Grammy after party a whopping four years in a row. By the time Ed arrived to the party, it was already filled to capacity. Instead, Ed attended Diplo and Benny Blanco’s house party. Not bad for a second option, right?
